Tomorrow is a new beginning for our country.
I saw where the Bush family moved out and the Obama family moved in the White House all in a matter of 6 hours. Good grief, it would take me 6 hours to clean out ONE closet! No matter our political affiliation, I feel that we must lift our new President, his family and our great country in fervent prayer.
Tomorrow is also Rosy's 51st birthday. Of course, he just always says, "It's just another day." Happy Birthday, Rose Bud!!
Maggie, Oliver (the cat) and I are enjoying our MLK holiday out of school. It's been nice to watch the snow flurries from the living room vantage point and not the classroom. It was also a very nice surprise to get the day off on Friday due to frigid temps. I was able to be with a few of my knitting buddies who braved the elements to meet at the library. I'm not sure how much knitting got done, but we all 'semi-caught up' with one another and wished many others could have been there. Maggie and I also got to eat lunch at Miss Bea's with Pam and Helene. Yummo!
I'm going to hush. I'm actually thinking about straightening/organizing my hallway bookshelf. (Thinking and actually doing are two separate things, you know.) My dad's wife, Guerry, had a qualified Feng Shui lady/consultant come to her house to help her "improve" her house. One of the things the lady said is that a book shelf should never be FULL of books. Guerry and I have pondered... then what in the world do you do with your books and the EMPTY space on the shelves?!?!?! Good grief, I KNOW I don't want that woman here at Gillenwater Manor. She can just mind her own business! LOL
Here's to new beginnings in our country, cleaner bookshelves, and Rosy's happy day.
Hannah, I agree about the political musings - we must support whoever is in there and pray for success - if not, we are wishing ill will for our country!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy 51st Birthday to Rosy from the Blimlines. I hate I was unable to be there Friday - I miss seeing you guys - NEXT TIME!!!!!
Stay warm........MaryAnn
